Did you know that a very well known manufactures tartare sauce recipe contains the equivalent of nearly 5 tsp of sugar in a tiny little 144 ml Jar. Indeed it contains 7 x as much sugar as it does parsley....Sorry dried parsley. I'm no gastronome crusader but frankly Fructose syrup & modified potato starch are the last things that come to mind when I go to make tartare sauce.
Instead you'll find our's closely resembles one of Nathan Outlaws superb recipes: Fresh aromatic herbs, homemade mayonnaise, hand chopped gherkin, caper, shallot and absolutely no FRUCTOSE....The Indispensable accompaniment to proper fish and chips.
